Mrs. Nicolette Kerns – P.E. & Computers Teacher and Tech Coordinator

Nicolette Kerns with her family

Mrs. Nicolette Kerns will serve as our new Physical Education/Computers Teacher and Technology Coordinator this coming school year. Nicolette earned a bachelor of science degree in education & human studies from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Clarkson College. She has spent the past 18 years working in pediatric healthcare.

Nicolette and her husband Ken, StJB Class of 2002, have four children. Two of their children are students at StJB – Loretta, 4th grade and George, 2nd grade – and their daughter Wilhelmina will start Pre-4K this fall.Their fourth child, Henrietta, is two months old. Nicolette and Ken are active in our Parish and have been
wonderful advocates and supporters of our school over the years.

“I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new P.E. and Computers Teacher at StJB.

After exploring various roles here at StJB for the past couple of years, the retirement of Mrs. Meisinger, and the arrival of our fourth child, prompted me to embrace this exciting change. Though I did not attend StJB as a student, I have been deeply impressed by the school’s commitment to preparing students for their future. My own experience at Duchesne Academy taught me the value of integrating faith into education, and I look forward to contributing to that mission , both in the classroom and through our community Masses. Thank you for welcoming me into this new role. I can’t wait to embark on this journey together!”

Jimmy is employed at Martin Marietta Materials as an underground mine engineer/geologist. Their family recently joined our Parish.

“I’m excited to be a part of the lunch room staff because I’ll have the opportunity to interact with all the students and teachers at St. John the Baptist School! I’m also thrilled to be working alongside Tara and Katie, they’ve been so welcoming and eager to help as I transition to the school and community.”
