St. John the Baptist Catholic School invites all future kindergartners and their parents to attend Kindergarten Round Up on Thursday, March 15th from 7- 8 p.m.
This is the first opportunity for new families to pre-register their child for kindergarten. Children must be five years old by July 31, 2018 to register for kindergarten and complete a readiness test administered by the school.
St. John’s Kindergarten Round Up is open to all families interested in enrolling their child for the 2018– 2019 school year. Parents are encouraged to bring their future kindergartener to participate in Kindergarten Round Up— special activities are planned for the children that evening.
During the session, parents will have the opportunity to learn about our school’s kindergarten program, curriculum and discover first-hand what it’s like to be a part of the St. John’s school community. Parents and children will also have a chance to meet our teachers and visit the classroom. In addition, administration and faculty will be available to answer any questions about kindergarten readiness, school uniforms, before and after school child care, tuition assistance, faith formation and much more.
The State of Nebraska requires a birth certificate and evidence of a physical examination by a qualified physician be provided for all students entering Kindergarten. Parents are encouraged to bring the birth certificate and immunization records to Kindergarten Round-up.

Other important enrollment dates include:
• Registration for pre-school children (Pre-K three and four-year-olds) will begin Thursday, March 1st.
• Registration for Kindergarten – 8th grade will be Sunday, May 6th from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. in the school gymnasium.
St. John the Baptist Catholic School is the only catholic school serving Cass County.
