StJB sixth grade student Nora Koelzer received first place for her art drawing entered in the 2020 Pro-Life Poster Contest this past spring.
The contest is sponsored annually by the Diocese of Lincoln — Bishop’s Pastoral Plan for Pro-Life Activities. The theme for this year was titled, “Darkness can only be scattered by light. Hatred can only be conquered by love.”
The contest was open to all first through eighth grade students within the Diocese of Lincoln parishes and schools. Nora received forty dollars and an award certificate for her winning design. Judges selected Koelzer’s design based on the criteria of originality, creativity, artistry and illustration of the message.
